Conference Hotel is the Embassy Suites Hotel (formerly the Fountain Suites). The hotel provides a huge pool, spa, tennis courts, etc. They host free happy hours every day between 5pm and 7pm on the terrace just outside the conference rooms.
The hotel offers a special GROUP'97 conference rate for $96 / night, plus taxes. This includes a complete US breakfast, but the special rate will expire shortly after the early registration deadline. The hotel is 20 minutes drive from Sky Harbor Airport (if you rent a car), or 20 minutes using Super Shuttle ($17 for one person, +$6 for every additional person going to the hotel).
